Our finances
The value of the volunteer labour provided by our members is a major part of our finances, and Central Coast Council Environmental Volunteer program provides support, tools, plants and supervision. They also engage professional bush regeneration contractors from time to time to assist us.
However, many of our projects require additional funding to pay for contractors, materials and plant stock.
Our objective is to have funds in our operating account for day-to-day work and small projects, and to build up significant funds to provide a cash contribution to our special projects for when we apply for grants.
Grants & in-kind support from Local, State & Federal Government agencies for specific projects.
The Group has received and properly acquitted $127,000 of grants from State and Federal instrumentalities over the past 10 years
Fundraising such as raffles
We acknowledge and appreciate the contributions made by the community, either as individuals or through their membership of local community groups. All members of the Group are committed to spending funds in a way which protects and enhances the natural environment of MacMasters Beach and adds to the amenity of MacMasters Beach, to the benefit of the whole community, our visitors, future generations and, of course, the fauna and flora of the district.
